Restoring Dignity
Delhi Riots 2020:
Rebuilding Lives
In response to the 2020 Delhi riots, the charitable organization United for Humanity (UFH) launched a comprehensive, multi-tiered intervention strategy designed to assist the most marginalized victims. Their efforts began with the distribution of immediate emergency relief to address urgent survival needs. Following this initial phase, the team conducted extensive field surveys to identify specific gaps in recovery.
By gathering this critical data, UFH was able to provide tailored, long-term support aimed at sustainable rehabilitation. This holistic approach focused heavily on economic empowerment, helping displaced families and small business owners secure the resources necessary to rebuild their livelihoods and regain their independence after the crisis.
Arif's Journey
Livelihood RestoredArif, a tailor, lost his shop and livelihood during the violent riots, leaving his family in despair. With no other income source and his equipment destroyed, they faced starvation.
However, the UFH team intervened, identifying his specific skill set. We provided Arif with two new sewing machines and renovated his shop. This support allowed him to restart his business immediately. Arif's story highlights the resilience of the human spirit when given a helping hand.

Hope for Rukhsana
